Jobs
Twelve jobs that pay you for playing normally. Hold three at once, up to level 200 each.
Jobs pay you money for things you were going to do anyway - mining, chopping, fishing, fighting. You can hold three at once, and each job levels separately up to 200.
The twelve jobs
| Job | What pays |
|---|---|
| Miner | Breaking stone and ore |
| Digger | Dirt, sand, gravel |
| Woodcutter | Logs and wood |
| Farmer | Harvesting crops |
| Fisherman | Catching fish |
| Hunter | Killing animals |
| Weaponsmith | Killing hostile mobs |
| Builder | Placing blocks |
| Crafter | Crafting items |
| Enchanter | Enchanting |
| Brewer | Brewing potions |
| Explorer | Travelling to new places |
The three-job limit
You can join three jobs at a time. Leaving one frees the slot - but its level is kept, so you can come back to it later without starting over.
That makes the limit a question of attention rather than permanence: most players run three, and swap the third around as their needs change.
Levelling
Jobs are much longer than classes. The cost per level rises steeply:
| XP for the next level | |
|---|---|
| Formula | 10 × level + 4 × level² |
| Level 1 → 2 | 14 |
| Level 50 → 51 | 10,500 |
| Level 199 → 200 | 160,410 |
Max level is 200. A single job taken to the cap is a long-term project, which is why the payout is per-action rather than per-level.
Titles
Each job gives you a title as it levels. They are cosmetic, and they are the easiest way to show what you have been doing with your time.
| Level | Title |
|---|---|
| 0 | Novice |
| 25 | Apprentice |
| 50 | Initiate |
| 75 | Journeyman |
| 100 | Adept |
| 125 | Master |
| 150 | Grandmaster |
| 200 | Legendary |
Getting paid
You are not paid per block. Earnings are batched every 5 seconds and paid out in one go, which is why the money arrives in a trickle while you work rather than on every swing.
Jobs pay in money, and also award job XP. Different jobs pay different amounts per action - a diamond ore is worth far more to a Miner than a block of stone.
The jobs shop
Each job has a shop, and there is a menu for browsing and joining jobs. Run /jobs (or /jobsmenu) to open it.
From there you can see every job's level, what it pays, and your progress in it.
