Auction House
Sell to other players at your own price. 10% tax, 48 hours, 10 listings at a time.
The auction house is how players sell to each other. Run /ah to open it.
Buy It Now, and only Buy It Now
There is no bidding. Every listing has a fixed price and you either pay it or you do not. You will not be outbid, and you cannot snipe - which also means the price you see is the price you pay, with no waiting for a timer to run out.
Selling
Hold the item you want to sell and list it from the menu at the price you want. The rules:
| Tax | 10% of the sale price - you receive the other 90% |
| Duration | 48 hours. If it does not sell, it comes back to you |
| Active listings | 10 at a time |
| Minimum price | $1.00 |
The tax is taken when the item sells, not when you list it. Listing is free, so an item that never sells costs you nothing but the slot.
Set your price with the tax in mind. A 10% cut means an item listed at $1,000 pays you $900 - if you need $1,000 clear, list it at about $1,112.
Getting your things back
Two commands worth knowing, both also available from the NPCs in town:
/ah mine- everything you currently have listed./ah collect- anything that sold, plus anything that expired unsold, waiting to be picked up.
If your listings are full or your collection is piling up, /ah mine tells you which.
Expiry
Expired listings are cleaned up when someone opens the auction house rather than on a timer, so an item that ran out overnight may still show as listed until the menu is next opened. It has already expired - opening the menu returns it to you.
